This quaint tiny home design offers full time living quarters at only 8ft x 16ft. This particular dormer is often referred to as a “saltbox dormer”. Notice how the exterior wall on the dormer isn’t flush with the exterior wall on the main floor. This breaks up the exterior wall as the roof line extends beyond the dormer wall. The drawback is that you do lose some space in the loft due to the dormer wall being inset.
