My journey as owner and founder of AX Designs in the Tiny Home market.

I started my architectural design firm in 2019 with the intent of working in the architectural industry. By 2019 I had worked as a draftsman, designer, engineering associate and product manager in the modular cleanroom sector for 10 years. This involved primarily designing and testing systems for semiconductor, hospitals and pharmaceutical industries. I was fortunate in that I worked for a company that manufactured all of our product on site and was able to develop a strong understanding of what it takes to build complex custom systems.

As I embarked on my architectural design journey, I recognized that I wanted to use my knowledge in modular design and apply it to architectural residential design. Tiny Homes was the perfect platform.

Meaningful design considerations, space constraints and simple aesthetics are all part of modular design within a tiny home. Allowing people an opportunity to own a home, create an investment opportunity, while also being environmentally conscious attracted me to the tiny home movement.

Since 2020 I have worked with tiny home manufacturers based out of different states across the United States. With a catalog of over 50 custom tiny homes designed, it was time to develop standardized model homes.
